Do you send out race packs?

As we are a charity in order to keep our costs down we are not sending out race packs. Instead you can collect from Beech Hyde School,  Nurseries Road, Wheathampstead, St Albans, Herts,  AL4 8TP on Saturday 13th May and Sunday 14th May 2017 between 9am and 12pm or on race day.

Can someone else pick up my number for me?

Yes.

Can I transfer my number to someone else?

Numbers can be transferred to another runner up until Friday 28th April 2017 by e mailing contact@wheathampstead10K.co.uk after this point no transfers will be allowed.

Will you refund?

As it is a charity event there will be no refunds but numbers can be transferred as per the FAQ above.

What is the minimum age to take part in the 10km?

Runners must be 15 years or over on race day.

Is there parking available?

Yes, the East Lane Car Park, behind The Bull Pub offers a number of car parking spaces. If this is full, please be considerate to residents when parking in nearby streets.

Where is the start and finish point?

Marford Road playing fields, Marford Road, Wheathampstead. AL4 8AY.

Are there any first aid points on the course?

Yes, The Red Cross will be located at the start/finish area and also be on route.

Is there somewhere to leave my bag?

Yes, there will be a bag drop off area, but items are left at the owner’s risk.

How can I sign up to volunteer at the Wheathampstead 10K?

We are looking for volunteers on the day and to help with preparation for the event. Please e-mail us at contact@wheathampstead10K.co.uk.

Can I bring my dog to run with me?

Sorry humans only.

Can I wear an iPod/mp3 player/headphones?

Yes, but please be considerate to other runners and be aware of the marshals.

Will there be entries on the day?

There will be no entries on the day for the 10k race and the deadline for entries is Friday 21st April 2016. There will be entries on the day for the 2k race however to avoid the queues on the day it is better to enter in advance via Runners World.

Is there a time cut off?

Runners should finish by 12:30pm.

Are there showers?

Sorry no.

I’m not a very experienced runner, can I take part?

Yes, the more the merrier! And if you do need any help or support with training then Wheathampstead Warriors https://www.facebook.com/groups/496835527174504/ will be very happy to help.

How far is the family run?

2km around the Marford Road playing fields.

What time is the family run?

10am before the start of the 10km.

What is the age limit for the 2km?

Anyone of any age can run the 2km fun run although all children under the age of seven must be accompanied by an adult.
