Do you send out race packs?

Race packs are not sent out in advance, but there will be time on race day to collect from race HQ in Marford Hall:

  • 2km – 8:00am until 9:30am (on the day entries for the 2k only available until 9.30am)
  • 10km – 8.00am until 10:30am (on the day entries for the 10k only available until 10am)

Can I transfer my number to someone else or get a refund?

As this is a charity event, refunds will not be given if you cannot take part.  An entry can be transferred to another runner, until midnight on Friday 10th May.  To request a transfer, please use the option within the entries site (https://www.atwevents.co.uk/e/wheathampstead-10k-and-2k-fun-run-9130) to make the transfer request.

Will there be entries on the day?

Yes – but to avoid disappointment when the event sells out we recommend to enter in advance via the below link

Is there a time cut off?

Runners should finish by 1.00pm. After this time, there will be no marshals or medical assistance available.

What is the minimum age to take part?

  • 10km– Runners must be 15 years or over
  • 2km– Any age – Under 7’s must be accompanied by a fee-paying adult 

Is there parking available?

Yes, the East Lane Car Park, behind The Bull Pub offers a number of car parking spaces. If this is full, please be considerate to residents when parking in nearby streets.

NO PARKING will be available at Marford Hall. Brocket View or St Thomas Place. 

Where is the start and finish point?

Marford Road playing fields, Marford Road, Wheathampstead. AL4 8AY.

Are there any first aid points on the course?                                                        

Yes, there will be medical assistance located at the start/finish area and around the course.

How can I sign up to volunteer at the Wheathampstead 10K?

We are looking for volunteers on the day and to help with preparation for the event. Please e-mail us at contact@wheathampstead10K.co.uk.

Can I bring my dog to run with me?

Sorry humans only.

Can I wear an iPod/mp3 player/headphones?

Only bone conducting headphones are allowed and please be considerate to other runners and be aware of the marshals.

Are there showers?

Sorry no.

Is there a bag drop? 

Yes, In Marford hall (Race HQ)
